Founded in 1998 by Robert “Bob” and Doreen Toller, Alaskan Tour Guides (ATG) began with a simple but powerful mission: to show visitors the real Alaska through the eyes of those who call it home.
Bob and Doreen knew that the best way to experience the majesty of our state wasn’t from a crowded cruise ship or a massive motorcoach—it was through intimate journeys led by true locals.
Built on the foundation of small-group exploration, ATG remains committed to authentic expertise, supporting local, and small groups with big impact.
In 2021, Alaskan Tour Guides entered a new era when we joined the Seldovia Native Association, Inc. (SNAI). As an Alaska-based organization with deep roots in regional hospitality—including the Dimond Center Hotel in Anchorage—SNAI serves as the steward of the ATG legacy, providing the resources to ensure our high standards continue for decades to come.
While our family has grown, our “soul” remains the same. Many of our original team members are still at the helm, and our core values are stronger than ever.
Today, with our fleet of eight deluxe small buses and a dedicated team of expert guides, we continue to provide the same high-touch, multi-day adventures that Bob and Doreen envisioned over 25 years ago.
